Members of the Bossier City Police Department were honored at the annual BCPD Awards Ceremony and Banquet held this evening at the Bossier Civic Center.

Veterans Job and Resource Fair set for Tuesday

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce team up with Goodwill Industries and the City of Bossier City to host a job and resource fair for area veterans.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13th at the Bossier Civic Center, located on Benton Rd. in Bossier City.

Veterans, dependents and government civilians will be allowed an opportunity to find careers in Bossier City and Shreveport.

The Bossier City Police Department promoted three officers Tuesday. The promotion ceremony was held at the police department, with the officers' family members, Mayor Lo Walker and Police Chief Shane McWilliams in attendance.

The Bossier City Police Department is warning residents about a scam involving bogus telephone solicitations that claim to raise money for the Bossier Shop with a Cop program.

Police have received reports recently from the public about getting calls from someone claiming to be raising funds for the program on behalf of the Bossier Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Bossier City Police Union.
