Alternative school in Bossier faces possible closing
SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA)- Where does a child turn when their last option is taken away from them? AMI Kids Red River is an alternative school for troubled youths that has a proven track record of success. 85% of children accepted into the program stay crime free after completion.
Despite that success, it may fall victim to a round of government budget cuts. According to Kathy Canerday, Executive Director of AMI Kids Red River, these cuts are aimed in the wrong direction, and will only increase government spending.
