American Rose Center's 39th season opens

The Gardens of the American Rose Center opened for its 39th season on March 1. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission for the 2013 garden season remains by donation only, as our gift to the community in celebration of our 39 years in Shreveport.

The Bossier City Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Bureau will teach a life-saving lesson to children and their parents at the Bossier Central Library next week. 

Fire prevention officers will present their fire safety program starting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the library’s History Center meeting room during family story time.
