Less than a day after Bossier City Police asked for help in finding a grill stolen from a Veterans of Foreign Wars post, the cooker was found and authorities arrested the man suspected of taking it.

On January 18, Bossier City Police said the trailer-mounted BBQ grill was taken from the parking lot of Gandy Brown VFW Post #4588 sometime earlier in the month. After seeing the stolen grill on the news, A Vivian man who had it called authorities.

The man told Caddo Parish Deputies that 42-year-old Craig Vaughan of Vivian had given the grill to witness as collateral for a $375 loan. The man said he never knew the grill was stolen.

The grill was recovered by Caddo Deputies on Tuesday night. Wednesday morning, Bossier City Police contacted Vaughan at his home and arrested him on a charge of unauthorized use of a moveable.
