Thanks to all the hard work done by the Bossier City Police Department to keep drugs off the streets, the department added just over $18,000 to its bank account.
The Diocese of Shreveport will hold its 11th Annual Blue Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 24 at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 1050 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.
The annual Blue Mass honors area Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters and Emergency Personal.
Forgetting to buckle their seat belts will cost several drivers after Bossier City Police cited them during a safety checkpoint on Wednesday.
Police set up the checkpoint between 2 - 6 p.m. in the 100 block of John Wesley Boulevard specifically looking for drivers and passengers not wearing their seat belts.
