Cinderella Project asking for used prom dresses | Community Spirit
The Cinderella Project of Shreveport is asking folks to donate prom dresses during the group's January Dress Drop-Off Event. The Cinderella Project collects the dresses and distributes them to women who cannot afford one.
Dresses can be taken to several locations in Shreveport:
- Bella Bridesmaid, 750 Southfield Rd.
- Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, 2601 Line Ave.
- Vertigo Clothing, 6535 Youree Dr.
- YMCA at 400 McNeil St.
- YMCA at 215 Carroll St.
Cinderella Project accepts long and short dresses and donations should be dry cleaned and on hangers. The Cinderella Project’s Donation Guidelines can be found at http://www.cinderellaprojectla.org/shreveport
“As our inaugural year of service to the Shreveport community begins, we are excited to team up with local businesses for this year’s dress giveaway. We appreciate everyone who is involved with our organization and we anticipate great things to come for the future of the Cinderella Project,” said Concetta King, co-director of Cinderella Project of Shreveport.
The Cinderella Project will host the 2013 Dress Giveaway on Saturday, March 16th at the Boys and Girls Club. Fairpark High school Junior and Senior students who are in financial need of a dress are welcome to attend.
