The Krewe of Harambee will host its 8th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day Breakfast and Parade, happening on Monday, January 21.

The celebration begins Monday morning with the annual "Hopes and Dreams" breakfast, held this year at the Petroleum Club. The guest speaker that morning will be Juvenile Court Judge Shonda Stone.

The Krewe will also award three high school seniors with a $500 scholarship for each one. Students wrote an essay titled "How I Made It Against All Odds" as part of the scholarship process.

The breakfast is $15 per person.

The Parade will begin at 1:00 pm.  The Parade shall feature the “Marching Musical Machine of the South” from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff Marching Band.  The Grand Marshall for the parade will be Mr. Roy Griggs, owner/operator of over a dozen local McDonalds.
