Bossier Police & Firefighters helping officer with West Nile | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Officers with the Bossier City Police and Bossier City Firefighters will fire up their grill over the weekend, working to raise money for an officer who was hit with the West Nile Virus.
Officer Chris Davis got the virus several weeks ago, and the fundraiser will help Chris and his family with out-of-pocket medical expenses.
Lunches of grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, chips and drinks are on the menu. Police are hoping for a good turnout from the public and from city employees. The lunches are available for a donation in the amount of their choice.
The fundraiser runs from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Friday, September 21 in front of the Bossier City Police Department, located at the city's municipal complex at 620 Benton Road.
The Bossier Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 39 and Bossier City Police Local 645 are hosting the fundraiser.
