Bossier Parish Community College will host its annual job fair from 12 - 3 p.m. on Friday, October 28 at its campus, located at 6220 E. Texas St. in Bossier City. The event will be in the Student Services Building.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation's Texas Gulf Coast & Louisiana Chapter is still looking for sponsors for its Wishmaker 5K Run, which will be from 8 a.m. to noon on November 12 at Bossier Parish Community College. Bossier City Police arrested the manager of a local drug store after an investigation by the White Collar Crimes Unit found he embezzled thousands of dollars from his employer.

Bossier City gets top award for work in providing alternative fuels

Bossier City took top honors at the recent Louisiana Municipal Association convention. The city was awarded the LMA's Community Achievement Award for its work in developing and constructing the city's two alternative fueling stations. The award was in the Community Development category for cities with a population of 25,001 and over.
