The American Federation of Musicians, Local 116, and the Band House Music Store are presenting a big band jazz concert and clinic on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Parkway High School.

Admission is free to students and $5.00 for adults. The band will be comprised of local musicians along with a number of regionally and nationally known clinicians and performers.

A 40-foot tall Christmas tree sitting on the banks of the Red River will come to life at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 15 at the Louisiana Boardwalk's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourism Bureau says the Christmas tree is the largest one in north Louisiana.
