SLT tickets on sale for Pulitzer winner ‘night, Mother | Arts & Culture
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, January 15 for Shreveport Little Theatre’s lagniappe production of ‘night, Mother, by Marsha Norman, the 1983 Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama.
'night, Mother is about a daughter, Jessie, and her mother. The play opens with Jessie calmly telling Mama that by morning she will be dead, as she plans to commit suicide that very evening. The subsequent dialogue between Jessie and Mama slowly reveals her reasons for her decision, her life with Mama, and how thoroughly she has planned her own death.
The play features Sylvia Rachal and Kalah Roberts. Tom Serio will direct.
Performances are scheduled for January 31, February 1, 2 at 8 p.m. and February 3 at 2 p.m. at SLT, 812 Margaret Place.
Tickets are $15. Student Rush tickets are available at curtain time for $10 cash with student ID.
