Shreveport Farmers’ Market will open for the fall season at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 27.
The market takes place on Saturdays from October 27 to November 17, from 8 a.m. until noon, under the East Pavilion and tent in Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport.
Fall produce will be available, plus ethically-produced meats, Gulf Shrimp, artisan sausages, and a variety of home-canned and home-baked goods.
The Market Café will offer a variety of ready to eat foods from cultures, and domestic, old-fashioned favorites. Music will further enhance the outdoor dining area in the Market Café tent. An array of crafts will also be included.
Typical crops for the fall season include sweet potatoes, Satsuma oranges, winter squashes, fall tomatoes, pumpkins, and various greens.
